UNC made that look too easy last night. Tonight I am liking Mich St. with the points vs. Memphis. I would not be shocked at all with the outright win, but the points and joke at the free throw line that Memphis is, makes me love this game. I also like Texas -2.5 - I basically think they are a better team and will win by 6-8 points plus any garbage free throws they can grab in the end.
Hockey note - if you have not watched the Sharks lately....do it. I have the NHL package, but being so late I usually catch only parts of the games. San Jose is awesome and watching them is better. They are fast, physical and deep. Simply makes for great hockey....scoring chances, big checks, fights, great saves with Nabby and Joe Thornton is sweet. Boston - what the hell were you thinking.
Side notes - Seahawks signed O. Mare because we need a kicker. Kinda old, but I think he will be OK. I love what the team is doing, guys are restructuring contracts to help the team, sign players and keep the defense together.
Dallas increased the offer to get Pacman Jones.......why? The guy is a total piece of trash. He belongs in a Dallas jail not on the team. How much trouble can one guy get into before you learn? I hope they get him so him, TO and Tank can turn the locker room into a circus. The Cops can keep the Cowboys facility on speed dial.

Tonights Action!!!!
Hi All,
This is my initial post and I am hoping to post often enough to build a following. In the busy world called life, I am worried I might slack, but I am going to give it a shot anyway! The blog is titled Sports God - Joe Occhino mainly because it is my name and I live for sports. I watch just about every sport and can generally talk about any of them enough to at least sound intelligent.
I follow some a lot more closely than others. Hockey and Football are top for me without a doubt. I enjoy the others and watch them, but they really don't compare. With that said I am dying to talk about tonights action.
March Madness is going on, so I have to get some face time to that. I love UNC tonight. If I was a betting man (which I am) - I would be all over this. Almost looks too good. UNC -8.5 when no team has come within 30 so far in this bracket. I think they are too big and strong down low and in the end they will out work all their opponents, including WSU. Lawson is too good and Hansbrough is just great. I am not convinced what kind of pro he will be, but as a college player he is nasty. Give the points and collect your ca$h homie!
Hockey tonight - big games but I am afraid most of the playoffs spots are wrapped up. Washington can still make a move in the East, mainly because of the teams they play but Buffalo is done. Florida and Toronto were done weeks ago, although mathematically everyone was counting them as in. Making up points in the NHL at the end of the season is almost impossible. Even if you win all the games, everyone else is getting a point here and there and you gain 3 points after winning 9 straight.
I will be flopping among all the games, as usual. I have to get my moneys worth for all the packages I buy from Direct TV. Peace out folks and enjoy the money I won you tonight. I am going to play some POKER - my favorite past time!
